About the role

We are seeking a M&A Financial Analyst to support various functions in the M&A lifecycle. In this role you will work directly with our CEO to support multiple Practitioner Partners for client facing functions including but not limited to financial modeling, business case development, due diligence, pre & post evaluation financials (statement models, projections, valuations, etc.). In this role, you will gather and analyze data from various sources, generate insights, and provide strategic recommendations to both internal & client’s executive leadership teams.

What you’ll do as a M&A Financial Analyst to support Corporate Development & Strategy:

  • Identify, research, and recommend companies, technologies, and capabilities for our clients to evaluate for potential M&A.

  • Support all aspects of the M&A process, including business case preparation, strategic/financial analysis, valuation, competitive analysis, due diligence, and post-merger integration planning.

  • Perform comprehensive and in-depth industry research and develop competitive intelligence summaries to help inform strategic fit for various clients.

  • Track potential and current acquisition targets, maintain internal databases, support & prepare M&A target reports & presentations.

  • Ability to support “many masters” and prioritize workflows based on needs.

Your Background & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in relevant roles, such as Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Management Consulting, Private Equity, or Venture Capital.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Accounting, or similar discipline preferred.

  • Proficiency in Excel modeling (including forecast development and valuations) and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to apply valuation techniques and concepts.

  • Ability to work effectively across functional teams and levels of seniority to refine strategic recommendations and build consensus.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and work unsupervised in the absence of clear guidelines

  • Prior experience or knowledge of the software, energy, healthcare, or technology, sectors is a plus but not required.
